Handmade Halloween Bookmark
I made a cute bookmark for my partner on Swap-Bot. It's Halloween themed. With this, I decided to pull out my brand new (as of 2 years ago) Cricut machine and cut out some shapes. With the shapes on hand, I created this bookmark. It's a creature, under the moonlight, taking a peak at what you are reading.

Autumn ATC
Here is another ATC to help celebrate this season... Autumn. It has a quote that reads:
I love Fall!
Fall is exciting
It's apples and cider
It's pumpkins and spiders
It's leaves changing colors
It's making apple butter
I love Fall!

Round Robin Sampler #15
This is a continuation of the Round Robin series I participate in. The border was stitched by the original owner. I stitched the santa sleeping on the moon and sent it off to Australia to the next stitcher. This peice is 14.75" x 11.75", measuring around the border. Because I like this santa so much, I might stitch him again for my kids.

Round Robin Sampler #13
In June, I recieved one of the cross stitch projects that I started and sent on it's way for a Round Robin swap. I was surprised on how much it has grown. In July, I added to little birds and sent it on its way for the Round Robin Sampler #13 swap. Can't wait to see it again.

Round Robin Sampler #11 Update
I completed my section on the Round Robin Sampler #11 that recieved from my partner. The bottom band is what I stitched. This one will be sent back home to the original stitcher for the Round Robin Sampler - Send Them Home swap. Hopefully this one comes back to me in the future. This sampler was fun to do.

Round Robin Sampler #10 Update
As mentioned in previous posts, I recieved a cross stitch project for the Round Robin Sampler #10 swap back in April. It was started at the beginning of this month and completed a couple weeks ago. I decided to wait to send it back for because it needed mending. While doing that, I joined the swap, Round Robin Sampler - Send Them Home. This has given me the opportunity to send it back with a special purpose in mind.

Round Robin Sampler #11
I joined yet another Round Robin Sampler swap. I had to stitch a whole new sampler for this one because the last one that was sent to me will be completed by me and sent to the original stitcher. I'm almost completed with that one. Had a few issues with it that needs attention before sending it off. I'll post when completed. The one this post is about was just sent to the Netherlands for a second sampler to be stitched on it. Here is what it looked like before sending it off.

Round Robin Sampler #10
I joined a very fun cross stitching group swap that I truely enjoy. We basically stitch on a piece of stitching fabric and pass it along to the next stitcher. When the piece is finally completed, it is sent back to the original stitcher. You can read more about it here.
I created a brand new piece because I just started this group, so here is what I did so far.

Handmade Name Postcard
I made a handmade postcard for one of my partner's on Swap-Bot. With this one, I decided to use a method I learned in Junior High.
Have a wonderful day!
- Fold a piece of paper in half.
- Write your name in cursive on the fold.
- Cut your name out in bubble form without cutting on the fold unless you need to depending on the letters in your name.
- Open it up.
- Glue it to another piece of paper of a different color making sure your writing is on the glued side down.
- Turn your art sideways and you'll be able to see a creature or bug.
- (See photos below to my finished project for an example.)

Turned to the side to reveal a "Creature". |
- Now you try it. :)

Sunflower ATC Tutorial
Hello.... This is a tutorial I wrote on my old blog and decided to repost it for all of you.
This is how I create ATC's. This is only one version of many ways to create an ATC.
Supplies needed:
- White Paper (For your drawing)
- Pencil, Pen, Crayons, Colored Pencils, etc. (Whatever you use to create your drawing)
- Scrapbooking Paper
- Precision Scissors
- Paper Cutter
- Cardboard (Any type. I recycle and reuse by using cereal boxes)
- Glue (I use Tacky Glue)
- Gloss Medium or Mod Podge
Step 1: Draw a Sunflower, color it, and cut it out. Use precision scissors to cut your drawing out to get the best results.
Step 2: Choose 2 backgrounds with scrapbooking papers of your choice.
Step 3: Measure and cut out the first background paper. Make sure it is less than 2.5" x 3.5", but bigger than the cutout drawing.
Step 4: Measure and cut out the second background paper. Make sure it is exactly 2.5" x 3.5". Do the same with your cardboard.
Step 5: Glue the second background paper to the cardboard. I poured the glue allover the back of the cardboard and spread it out with my finger... as seen in the photos below.
Step 6: Glue the first background paper on top of the second background paper. Then glue the cutout drawing on top of that.
Step 7: Apply the ATC with Gloss Medium & Varnish or Mod Podge to protect your work. Add about 3 coats, waiting at least 15 to 30 minutes between coates.
Step 8: Measure and cut out the backing. Make sure it is exactly 2.5" x 3.5". Then glue it to the back of your ATC. This is where you place your credit to your artwork (As seen in the photo, I cut the backing a little too small. OOPS!).
Step 9: After letting it dry for at least 15 minutes, place the ATC in a book for an hour or two, so it can dry flat. You can place wax paper in the book to protect the pages of your book.
Congratulations... You made a Sunflower ATC....
Have fun creating your ATC's and don't forget to show me your creations. Have a wonderful day!
