Round Robin #35

Here is the latest Round Robin in the cross stitch group I am in. It's a very large piece. I added the lighthouse because that is one of my dream places to live. Very unlikely, but nonetheless a dream of mine.

Stamp With Color ATC

For this swap, I had to color in a stamp of my choice and create an ATC with it. So I chose a Prima Doll stamp of course. The background is in watercolor and the doll is in colored pencils.

Fourth of July ATC

I absolutely love the American flag. It's very beautiful. For this swap I took some striped and star printed scrapbook paper and turned them into a flag. Of course I had to make some modifications. With the grey and white striped paper I colored the stripes red and white with colored pencils. I added more stars with a white gelly pen to the blue and white star printed paper. To make it old looking, I crumpled the assembled flag, glued it onto some cardboard, rubbed black stamp ink everywhere, and sealed it with gloss medium.

For this swap we had to send a cheery note and flat surprise placed in a decorated envelope. I used colored pencils and micron pens on all my work. Reading my partners profile she mentioned multiple times that she loves pugs.... So, I drew her one.

ATC with a Ticket

This was a fun and challenging ATC to create. Haven't done one like this in such a long time. A chose two tickets... One from the cinema featuring the movie "Tomorrowland". The other is just a random ticket I received from a fellow swapper as an extra (including the little girl). As I was creating this card, my little girls went through my box of paper goodies and created their own masterpieces.

Tangled Names ATC

For this swap, we had to create our partner's name in Zentangle form. So I looked online for some fun Zentangle/Zendoodle letters. I came across the Tanglelicious Zentangle Alphabet and the Dangles Alphabet on the Olivia & Company website. Fun! So fun.... that I made her 2 ATC's.

Round Robin #33

I received a very large sampler that I was working on this month, but could not complete my portion before the send date. So I made a decision to start a new one that was small and quick enough to do and send right away (that day as a matter of fact). The theme for this one is Owls. I'm really into owls right now and thought this would be fun. This design can be found at. Aliolka Design. There are wonderful designs on this blog that will be fun to stitch.

Cross Stitch ATC's 2 & 7

It's been a while since I posted. My son and I were very ill right after New Years and took a long time time for us to recuperate. My swap host/partner gave me extra time to finish these cross stitch ATC's and I am so grateful that she did for I had no energy to do anything whatsoever.

These little cuties were stitched on tie dyed Aida Cloth that I dyed over 10 years ago. When I came across this fabric in my stash, I was inspired to use it for this project. The tie dye effect sure makes them pop.
